Seriously, take a look at her. Her record, her popularity, her family, her appearance (which shouldn't be a factor, but is).

I don't know much, but I think she is a very INTERESTING possibility. Too bad she does not have a large base to pull behind her.

FROM Saturday, February 9th.

Interesting. Fox News is reporting that she is it.

Jay, on my thread, I posted to you that your lady got it hours ago, but what do I know. I can't read E-mails. :(

When I see Ann Coulter on a program, I use my list of advertisers, which I update, and e-mail the offending station's advertisers, "I will not consume your product so long as Ann is given a platform on your ad venues." Please do the same if you care about the image of conservatism?

Yes, noted. You have really neat friends, and are juiced in it seems, I will never doubt you again. I only rely on people who say they're juiced in, but the info. from some of them is weak as I am finding out. My contact didn't know until 5:00am PST. I went back and added the P.S. to let you know around 5:30 pm., but I think I was not posting anything you didn't already know.

How well do you know the V.P. pick?

I feel so different now posting to you. No more :P from me to you in my posts BTW. I guess I need to give you some respect. Like I said, you have really neat friends.

Not my friends, but I do have them in LOW places.

As for my insight, I was looking at this from a marketing standpoint. This is what is going on here and I do not say this to belittle anyone. But they have GOT to win to do anything.

What are McCain's weakpoints? Find those and you find someone who counters them. Sarah Palin!

I did not know it was her wedding anniversary. That is a funny coincidence......being Senator McCain's birthday and all.

Feel free to e-mail me off line if you have any other questions. jay.kersting@cumulus.com or jay@jaykersting.com will get to me.

Give J his 'props".

He called it when many of us- myself included- thought it would be Romney.

I think McCain seriously effed up by not having chosen a minority candidate for his veep. And I still maintain that -- especially given their amicable, personal relationshp -- J.C. Watts would have been his BEST option.

I guess the senator had some trouble talking J.C. into it, though.

I'm cool with Gov. Palin. And I'm pretty sure her addition to the GOP ticket is gonna put Big Mac into the White House come November.

(I just thank GOD it wasn't that worthless quip-toting idiot Mike Huckabee. I raise my glass in the Hope that his fat ass just fades away in the overall GOP scheme of things faster than a Twinkie in his kitchen. Maybe the one good thing that can come outta Hurricane Gustav is that we won't have to hear a speech from Huck; maybe the GOP's cutting it short out of respect for the affected families will wipe out any potential for Huck to speak. Crossing fingers ...)

I can't believe McCain's gonna pick the governor of a state that's not in contention and that has no electoral votes, especially when it'd look like a blatant token pick. It's a bunch of info-tainment chatter.

I disagree. The state doesn't matter. As for years, she has only been governor since December 2006...not even two years. But anyhow, I digress.

Here is the reason why Governor Palin is in the mix. Politics is marketing.

Take a working mother, one child is in the military, one has special needs. She has an energy policy (one that could explain a change of view on ANWR for McCain) background. She has executive experience.

Oh, and she is much younger than the nominee. Yeah, she happens to be attractive too.

Alaska's electoral votes do not matter as much. You have 80% of American women who could relate to her. You have conservatives who would respect her.

I would not dismiss her from the list.

Since when is Delaware in contention?

And how many electoral votes does Delaware have?
