Sorry, but there's a lot of it, and if you have dial-up (like my summer hostess who managed to build a house approximately 500 feet from the DSL cutoff) it takes a really long time to delete something.

So I apologize for my inattention. I'll be back to where I can check it all the time with a civilized net connection in about two weeks.

And btw, Sinatra's not doing badly anyway. I deleted less than ten when I got on today, thinking there'd be way more.

So cut us some slack. I don't have an excuse, but I have a reason.

Yeah, working for a living, some vacay! :wink:

No, actually, I only worked for about a month, and that worked out about the way my parents thought it would, so I'm done with that for awhile.

What was supposed to be an exhibition of my ability to take care of myself did indeed turn into a shocking display of all the reasons why I need to go home.

So I suppose it was a vacay, no matter how early I was getting up some days! :wink:

But yes, I had and am still having an awesome time, and thank you for inquiring. I just have to go back to IN for a few days to train new scholarship recipients that'll be working with me this year, then I'm back to MO and AR for a few weeks before school starts.

And I hope your summer was good, too! I hope everyone had a good one. Summer's not my bag (love fall weather) but the doing nothing part is fun, so I hope everyone else had at least some element of that.

And I haven't met Jay, but I did talk to him on his show. Pretty good stuff, and as promised, my guess wasn't right, but it wasn't bad, either. I did manage to land one of three answers that no one else had gotten yet. And my other answers were close, as I thought they'd be.

Maybe I'll still meet him, though. We haven't talked, but I'll be back in his neck of the woods for a few days, so maybe I should shoot him an e-mail.

I got so busy in my attempt to work that my priorities were all whacked, w/c is why I haven't been around here, haven't been keeping up with my family, and haven't been keeping up with the world.

It was fun, but I'm a creature of habit. As much as I enjoy spontaneity and as much as I tend to go that way, I'll appreciate the normalcy of being home.

And when I'm back on here in a couple weeks, posting as usual, be ready for a scathing diatribe on Michael Vick...

B/c I've been building one up for awhile now.

My summer has gone very well but it seems to have flown by that's for sure. I spent a good percentage of it thus far in Army training. Which is fine with me because at this point, the more training, the better off myself and the rest of the Soldiers in my unit will be.

I also had one of the strangest birthdays ever 3 weeks ago. That's another story altogether...

If you do get a chance to meet Jay, do it. He's a great guy, incredibly warm and friendly. I'm very glad that I had the privilige of meeting him last year.

Enjoy the rest of your time in MO and AR. We'll be looking for that post on Michael Vick in the future.

P.S. Try getting in touch with Weapons. I miss his posts as I learned a lot from him.

Just wanted to mention that I think Gary Anderson is getting a bit unhinged in some of the forums, especially on the World Trade Center. The posts are gettting real long and incoherent, which is becoming a pain to reply to. But I also don't think Bernie would want hate speach to stand unchallenged on his site, which is why I reply and don't just ignore the guy. Any suggestions?

he was challenged, and he refuses to budge. u don't need to feel compelled to continue to refute him, i think most sane folks realize the truth. its not going to get you or him anywhere. i have decided not to engage him on wtc further, i don't think his arguments stand up to the light of logic, but he won't change his mind. what else is there to say?

You are correct in what you say. The only thing I don't want to see happen is the casual reader of this blog dropping by and reading Gary's crap and thinking that all of us on this web site believe this junk. I don't want to see this place end up as a haven and refuge for 9/11 conspiracy nuts, like Gary. If we do not challenge him on this and let his posts stand, will occassional readers of this site start to believe it as fact?

I honestly don't think so, liberty. Websites like debunking911.com, 911myths.com, and jod911.com that Mr S and I have cited are publishing more evidence each week to put these looney ideas to rest. And please don't think Steve1633 as someone who was influenced by Gary. Steve wrote a lot of this same CT nonsense about a year ago when he first started posting, but all of it was promptly dismissed by most of us so he knocked it off until he found Gary. Steve's just a 20-year old college kid who also isn't too far off from thinking we should all be living in caves to save planet Earth, that corporations should never be allowed to make a profit, and thinks nothing about lecturing veterans about what military service is all about even though he's never served a day in the armed forces. So his credibility is already pretty much in the toilet with most of us as it is.

I'll take your word for it. You guys seem to have things pretty well in hand here. I just hope more people decide to speak up and denounce the conspiracy nuts out there.
