Got the Book

Unread postby Cortese » Mon Apr 23, 2007 6:32 am

My book was finally delivered over the weekend after being lost by the USPS. I did have a chance to read the first couple of chapters before I fell asleep. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of it.

I got mine on Saturday. I have some David Limbaugh tomes to finish first, so it might be a while before I can read the acerbic wit of Bernie. 8)

I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. I like the Fox Derangement Syndrom chapter. Funny stuff.

Oh great!! Just what I needed. Another Cards fan is moving to Jefferson City. This is the one are where I strongly prefer the Blue over the Red. LOL (Normally, it is a slight edge.)

At least both teams are struggling so far this season. Both won their series over the weekend over a division rival. Things could be improving.

At least my station carries the Royals...so at least I get to listen to them.

When I was really little, Daddy taught me this thing:

He'd say, "What're the Cardinals?" And I'd say, "The best!"

He'd say, "What're the Royals?" And I'd say, "The worst!"

And then he'd say, "What're the Mets?" And I'd say, "Pond scum."

 Daddy's funny. :D

Yea, I read about half of the book, it is really one of his worst. His crass stereotypes of the left is crazy. I notice he talks about hollywood celebrities way too much, but avoids most left activists, intellectuals, writers, critics. Bernie, Rosie O'Donnell is an activist, she is an tv entertainer. You talk about her to marginalize the smart left, who cannot be so easily dismissed.

Daily Kos is the number one blog for a reason. We are not going away, we are just going to become bigger. Because, in the end the people are on the right side.

It is nice to know that you are willing to defend hate speech and venom from the left, but it is not OK from the middle or right.

I call that Hypocrisy. What do you call it?

Daily Kos is number one? I think Huffington gets more hits. Or if you want to go to a true information blog, I know that Drudge gets more hits.

Daily Kos is part of the problem with America, not the solution. Too bad those of you who are closed minded, ie, the typical Neo-Libs, can't see it because you are blinded by your hate.

I hope you enjoy your time at Daily KoS because the founder of that blog, Markos Moulitsas Zuniga, is a effin wanna-be. The reason I say that is because he had posted some of the things he had allegedly done while in Basic Training at Ft. Sill, OK. I believe he said his MOS was 13P. I had personally written him an email regarding his alleged training, refuting most of it because I currently serve in the Artillery and prior to that I served in the Infantry. He was distorting the truth of what training actually occurs at Ft. Sill to the members of Daily KoS. Of course I never received a response but like I said, he's just another effin wanna-be like Jesse MacBeth.

But back on topic, I'm 1/2 way through the book and I'm enjoying it. Yes, I did read the "Good Jew, Bad Jew" chapter. I wonder who it was that he had a radio interview with....

Cortese,

Yes, I have been enjoying it so much that I wanted to contact Bernie to tell him and that is how I found this chat site!

I am very happy to be here and I look forward to many emails with like minded individuals!

Thanks for the post and I will let you know once I have read 100 People...that is the one I am now looking forward to...as I have not seen Bias in the Borders where I shop...maybe it is a bit older? Well, I can always get it on Amazon.com!

Cortese, have a great day!

Pixie,

Yes "Bias" is an older book, but you can always get it at Amazon. It's a good book too because it really gives an insider perspective on how a major news network works.

"100 People" was the first book I read by Bernie and I found it more entertaining than anything else. Whereas "Crazies to the Left..." and "Bias" more-so identified problems with our culture and society. Those are the books I like to read, the ones that discuss problems and presents possible ways to remedy them.

That's just my personal opinion obviously but I do hope that enjoy those books as much I did. Happy reading. :D

Got the book for Mothers Day

Unread postby shellieida » Sun May 13, 2007 9:01 pm

I asked for two things for Mothers Day , your book and The Reagan Diaries!!! I got yours, I guess they didn't want to pre-buy and hand me a piece of paper for the May 20th release.
Bernie, you are right , we all won't agree on Conservatism ,but I also think that there is a core feeling that sets us apart from Liberals. A gut feeling when we hear the liberal garbage and it turns our stomachs. We look at our children and fear to think what will America be like for them. Good Work!!!!! :)
