The qua'ran and islamic law treat women as nothing more than possessions of men.

The qua'ran sanctions wife-beating.

islam also allows for child marriage, the vitrual imprisonment of women in their homes, "temporary marriage" (i.e. prostitution- but only for shi'ites), and more.

The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences has determined that over 90% of Pakistani women have been struck, beaten, or abused sexually-for offenses on the order of cooking an unsatisfactory meal. Others were punished for failing to give birth to a male child.

There are Indian women who have been burned alive for failing to produce a male heir, so should we also hate Hindu? Korean women were, in the near past, not allowed to leave a small inner room of the house, should we hate confuscionism (it was the justification)? As we've discussed in here before, there are mormon churches in America that encourage polygamist pedophilic marriages as well as forcing young girls into marriages that are essentially sex slavery, should we hate mormons? The answer is obviously no, once again any religion can be abused for the sake of power. Just because people missuse something doesn't mean the thing itself is a problem.

Why is it that you are doing everything in your power to thrash Muslims? Will you please give me the link that said this? If Muslims truly were who you say they are, then why would a Pakistan college survey to see how many women were being abused? Wouldn't they not care about it? Wouldn't they think it is as insignificant as surveying how often couples have sex?

You still haven't answered why a Pakistani college would give a s bomb about women being abused if Islam oppresses women so much. It's not plausible that someone in a country where almost everyone follows the "religion that oppresses women" would record that information.

Steve, we argued about this for. Using the term mormon, implies

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints.

Which does NOT

encourage polyamy, pedophily, and etcetera.

Many of those groups even ask to no longer be called mormon.

I haven't had the time to google it, but, I got the statement from "The Politically Incorrect Guide to islam". You could go to the library and read some of those books, maybe. Just make sure that the library is interested in real education and not just promoting liberalism as many university libraries do.

I go to a public library thank you. There's quite a few books on both sides in politics. They also have a place where they sell books for low prices. I bought a Bernard Goldberg book there, which led me to this forum, so maybe by your standard, the library is interested in real education. I also think that by my standards.

ballsy, if most universities in the country are bent on turning their students into liberals than how do you explain the long standing moderacy of America? How do conservative candidates win anything if most colleges are just liberal mills?
