A Plea For Justice

On April 26, 2003 Brent Midlock was killed while on vacation at the Occidental Grand Xcaret resort. It is located outside of Playa del Carmen and 30 miles south of Cancun Mexico. The resort operated a pool with total negligence and incompetence and to date has not been charged with any wrongdoing. As a result, Brent was violently sucked into an open pipe. The Mexican Federal and State Governments have chosen to not sanction the resort, despite their laws or charge the operators with any wrongdoing. The U.S. State Department's division of Consular Affairs did not help a desperate mother in her time of need despite repeated pleas for help.
To date, the Grand Xcaret continues to operate without any remorse, recourse or sanctions for stealing Brent's life and U.S. State Department Officials ignore repeated requests for assistance in obtaining justice for the senseless and life devastating tragedy.
Despite both Governments knowing the increasing safety and security issues for tourists in, and around the Cancun area they seemingly do not want this verifiable information exposed to any tourists.
