Sherry, How do you know what Bitsy is doing? Do you follow him around all of the time. You say he mentioned the fact that he was homosexual a few times, just about every post. I don't care about his sexual orientation but he had to bring it up and declare himself. Had he never mentioned it and stayed on track in our political discussions all of this wasted diatribe never would have happened.
I would say I know a good bit more about the Gay community than you and I have my opinions and when I have an opinion unlike some other people I air it, like it or not. For instance, I don't think being homosexual is normal. I have seen some of their bizarre habits and really don't care for them. You can chastise me all you want but I will not change my opinions and I will not stop airing them. Bitsy looks for controversy and you are just feeding his ego by feeling sorry for him. The poor little guy nobody likes him because he is gay, you got to be kidding me.

Look I worked in a gay bar at one point in my life, I showed dogs and dog showing is rife with homosexuals and lesbians, I was a supervisor in a sex crimes squad,they don't bother me except with their public displays. I have said it before I don't care what they do at home but most of them have a propensity for airing their dirty laundry in public. Are you going to tell me that they are normal? Let me take you back a month, "Brokeback Mountain" was aired and Bill O'Reilly stated that it was not his kind of movie. At that point Bitsy had a hissy fit and said Bill was homophobic or words close to that. O'reilly has always supported gay unions if not gay marriage, Bitsy was upset at this and at that time declared his sexuality and has not stopped since. If he would stick to the general topics and forget about his sexual preferences he would be a whole lot better off and so would the rest of us. anyway, yes I think he may have been a little too sensitive about the Fox comments. I didn't watch Oreilly that night and can't remember what was said about it. I personally hardly ever see any movies....working and raising a family keeps me busy enough.

It may have appeared to Robert that FOX was going against the movie - I don't know what he thinks. I do know that 99.9999% of straight guys will NEVER admit to seeing the movie much less go and see it.
I think gay men will always be looking for acceptance from straight people....it's such a complicated issue.
All I know is that Robert hasn't done anything to me and he hasn't admitted here to any pedophilia activites( I'm being fececious, I'm not serious ), so my opinion of him is that he's alright.
Yes, I've heard about all the gross things some gay people do....Gerbils or hamsters comes to mind. And yes, someone who does that is sick. Both of you make good points, but cant see you are both saying the samething. Ed is fine with it, Sherry is fine with it. Ed only gets agrrivated by some of the things they do AROUND him, and when gay people like voicing out their sexuality periodically (that bugs me too for the matter) BUT he is fine with it the rest of the time, as long as there is no correlation to him. Sherry, you re fine with it, and obviously you too have some quarrels about some things gay people may do, but when you guys aren't targeted specifically, its all good.

well, I'm not going to beat this horse anymore. All I know is that Robert (Btimsah) is ok with me. I had issues with him a while back (Terry Schiavo), but that's over.
I will continue to be kind and pleasant to him as I do EVERYBODY here. It doesn't mean I'm feeling sorry for him either.
Homosexuality is a heated issue...just like abortion. Everybody has their own thoughts on it and it's not just black and white.

Ed makes one very good and very valid point. If you are gay, fine. If you are straight, fine. One should not go out and FLAUNT their sexuality all of the time.

I know a homosexual man quite well. No one I know ever seems to have a problem with his homosexuality. No one even addressed that. It was his substance abuse (alcohol) that he has addressed. Everybody I know loves this guy now and is proud of him for doing right by himself.

In both issues, he kept them to himself (except for a small circle of us) and deals with them in a mostly private way.

He is a good example for all people.

To be blunt, your just simply too old and prejudiced too engage in a fair and open minded discussion about this topic. In your mind all homosexuals are abnormal perverts who do disgusting things (and yet you pretend you don't hate them? Get real, man.) too eachother.

I was not honestly degrading heterosexuality, I was being sarcastic and trying to point out how ignorant your prejudice is and how I could form the similar (faulty) opinions about you're lifestyle based on nothing but your heterosexuality.

If you were not so open and out front about your sexuality, we could move past it. But you are the one, with Ed as well, who are making it an issue.

You are gay. I get that. Move on to something else. Unless that is the ONLY thing that defines you. If it is, you really need to rethink your life. I know that it is not...I have read what you have posted in other areas. But by tagging out with the Gay Marriage thing, it pushes your homosexuality in our faces.
