This is the REAL jobs situation with the Dept. of Labor's own Bureau of Labor Statistics as the source. In Jan. 2011 2,858,000 jobs were lost. Jan. 2012 saw a loss of 2,689,000 jobs. Since the Jan. 2012 figure was less than 2011; and some 200k jobs less than their computerized expectations, they 'seasonally adjusted' (with some arm-twisting from the White House, perhaps?) that into a GAIN of 243,000 jobs! This in the month when all the added seasonal (read: CHRISTmas) workers get laid off! The 243k is a fake and the unemployment stat did NOT tick down. An estimated 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force in January; which means they gave up looking for work and are NO LONGER COUNTED as unemployed, which would explain why unemployment numbers would SEEM to trend downward. This is happening every month and the administration and the liberal media (same same) are trying to spin this disaster as a positive. The percentage of people participating in the labor force is the lowest in 30 years, 5 million Americans have dropped out since 2009, 4 out 10 adults are not working, teen unemployment is the highest since 1948!! and only one in four teens has a job. More Americans are on food stamps than ever before. As for that 2.8% 'growth' of the last quarter; well they fudged that too. They conveniently omitted the estimated inflation rate of 2.2% which renders the REAL growth rate at a pathetic 0.6%! To add insult to injury gas is now at $4 (don't expect the media to report this) and analysts expect $4.50 (or higher) by spring. None of this bodes well for Obama's re-election chances and that 's why his administration and its media fifth column will do whatever they have to in order to convince the gullible, social-media addicted lemmings that the 'recovery' is on. Do not buy this snake oil.
"If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that if it is comfort or money that it values more, it will lose that, too." --English playwright and author W. Somerset Maugham (1874-1965)
