Internment of Japanese during WW II

On Bill O'Reilly's program during the week of Nov.23rd, Bernie incorrectly stated that the Japanese interned during WW II were all Japanese-Americans. WRONG! Some were American citizens, some were not! They were interned after the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor due to fears that they would commit terrorist attacks in America. Japan did attempt to terrorize America during the war with balloon bombs sent from Japan which killed members of one family in the Pacific Northwest. They also worked on biological weapons. A false argument attempting to revise history and against the internment was that no acts of Japanese terror occurred in the U.S. during WW II. This was true because all of the Japanese had been interned for the entire war! Bernie also made another terribly incorrect statement when he said that Roosevelt was racist in interning Japanese when no Germans or Italians were interned. A previous posting has blown the "no Germans or Italians" theory out of the water, but Roosevelt was not acting due to racism, but because he hated the Japs after the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor killed thousands of Americans. I am a Conservative Republican and no fan of Roosevelt but the truth needs to be brought forth. American sentiment before the war was very isolationist due to the "America First" movement led by Lindbergh. After Dec.7th, Americans were fearful and afraid, especially since all the news coming from the Pacific was bad news up until the bombing of Tokyo and the Battle of Midway. Congress passed the Japanese Internment Act and Roosevelt signed it into law and Americans were relieved. It was the right thing to do at the time, and no one opposed it. Let's put an end to the history revisionism!
