It is time that the average citizen is represented in discussions regarding current events, the need for political leaders who are not subject to the influence of major financial contributors and PACs, and the insanity of political correctness and black pressure groups influencing which laws will be enforced.

I wish to thank you for your comments on the O'Reilly Factor, as presented in your letter to the media CEO, recognizing some of the problems which are constantly evident in the national "News" broadcasts.

Like you, I was immediately pressed to make a written statement regarding the inequities of the journalism in the piece about the police officer in Texas who was assassinated. In the opinion of this grandmother, the nosedive in America's respect (directly resulting from the poor leadership of our political representatives and the lopsided reports by the major media) will be the most bitter pill that our descendants will have to choke down along with all the losses of many of our freedoms. But the average grandmother will never be heard. The Average citizen will never be heard, unless those who do have a voice stand up for us! Thank you.

Oh, by the way, please don't say that our voices will be heard at the polling booths. This fallacy is not even worth a murmur in a child's bedtime story any longer, since the politicians who are elected wind up being people who come from gerrymandering or political action committees support with major financial favors and not persons who are the most competent for the job.
