delete topics and/or threads

Maybe it's just me, but I would like to see certain threads and topics immediately deleted.

Posts like "want to find a new job" as far as I'm concerned is out of place here. I get enough crap like that in my emails and I'm certainly not going to send the information requested in the post to some non-entity who i do not know and have no reason to trust is not a scam.

Posts like "torrent chat" also has no place here. If I was looking for porn, I don't need someone here posting sites to tell me where to find it.

Or the topic "make money fast online". Really. Is any comment about this one really needed?

Topics and posts like these denigrate the site and must irritate others as much as it does me. Can these topics and posts be filtered out?

They are filtered out. By MrSinatra and me.

And you could be a lot more irritated and the site much more denigrated if Sinatra hadn't taken various steps already. For example, you can't see the c-word or the f-word anymore in the thread titles, can you?

See? That's progress. If a thread says something about a "c bomb" don't read it. We all know what a "c bomb" is.

Anyway, when the thread titles could be easily read, that wasn't at all family-friendly, but now that they can't be, the porn complaint is taken care of b/c we delete it as soon as we see it. It's there for a few hours at most, and you don't have to see it if you don't click on it.

And the other stuff? Tramadol and whatnot? Irritating, yeah, but we take care of it. And we take care of it a lot.

I know I check it at least 4 times a day, upon waking, before class, after class, and before sleeping. And that's w/o reading or posting. So I end up checking it even more than that.

And that's in no way a complaint (I know you can't hear my tone, so I'm clarifying) but just a fact. We delete this stuff numerous times a day.

So it's there, we take care of it, then it's gone. If you think we're not quick enough, your standards might be a little high. :)

I wasn't criticizing you or mrsinatra, tiffany. I do know that you filter out a lot of stuff and I do appreciate it. Thank you

Not being a webmaster or administrator, myself, sometimes I don't appreciate how much work goes into it, and so I apologize for that.

I hope you'll excuse my sometimes short-temperedness.

Oh I'm no webmaster myself, either! :D

And you're not short-tempered. It is annoying, but we do what we can. :)
