Dealing with the Real
Reality is tricky, and, to some, intimidating. It exists, regardless of the best efforts of some, for reasons of their own, to deny, distort, or misrepresent it.
Our outgoing (insert smiley face) President, Barack Obama, is a prime example of this dodge from reality. He and the diminishing number of his surrogates have consistently refused to face the fact that there are elements within Islam that are using Islam to justify horrendous acts against humanity. This obvious failure to face reality cost the Dems the presidency and both houses of Congress.
The latest example of BO’s belief that if you don’t say something it doesn’t exist is his comment on the death of Fidel Castro. This has been so well publicized and ridiculed that I need not comment upon it. Pathetic, delusional.
In the last analysis, FC’s death is a total non-event. He hasn’t been influential in Cuban politics for years, and there’s every indication that his murderous and dictatorial inclinations are being ably honored and promoted by Bro Raul. As for the rituals related to the far-from-untimely death of FC, send the U.S. Ambassador to Cuba to the funeral pyre to throw on an extra log and leave it at that and to President Trump to right the ship in due course.
