Screw "Hillary is leading the polls"...give 'em hell Trump!

Does that topic sound at all familar? It should because we had an election before that went a lot like this. In 1948, Thomas Dewey held a commanding lead in the polls and figured he could just "coast by" to the White House easily. But his opponent didn't let that stop him or use it as an e...

Don't get too c--ky Hillary b/c Trump wasn't great in debate

Okay, so Trump didn't exactly turn in a great performance. I personally think he did fine overall (especially considering the pro-Hillary moderator) but of course didn't do nearly as well as the Trump supporters would've liked. And that's actually not so bad. After all, Reagan didn't do so hot in hi...

Re: The War On America And Women

I can't believe anyone is buying that "War on Women" crap. What they really mean is "War on Abortion on Demand". :P After all, those little babies are evil and they must be killed for the good of radical feminism!

Brown family should apologize to Officer Wilson, not sue him

So I just recently found out (because I was curious as to how Officer Darren Wilson was holding up) that Michael Brown's family has the audacity and nerve to file a wrongful death suit against Darren Wilson. I guess they missed the memo about Darren being found innocent. Officer Wilson and his famil...

Ironically, Trump may win for same reason Obama did in 2008

How can that be you might ask? They're as different as day and night in terms of political ideology right, even if Trump (unlike his running mate) is not the usual classic pro-life conservative(ish) the R nominee usually is. In both cases there were serious questions as to whether or not Obama 2008 ...

Re: Confederate flag

Like I said before, I totally can get behind not having the Confederate flag on state flags/gov't buildings (because allegiance belongs to the US flag/constitution, not some wannabe country from 150 years back) but taking down Dukes of Hazzard reruns when there was not a drop of racism in that entir...

1 Timothy 2:12 is why I can't get behind anti-LGBT rights

From good ol' Wikipedia: Greek New Testament - γυναικὶ δὲ διδάσκειν οὐκ ἐπιτρέπω, οὐδὲ αὐθεντεῖν ἀνδρός, ἀλλ᾽ εἶναι ἐν ἡσυχίᾳ Vulgate - docere autem mulieri non permitto, neque dominari in virum, sed esse in silentio KJV - But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but t...

Re: Confederate flag

That whole outlawing burning the flag thing doesn't make much sense when the Flag Code says you're supposed to burn it "when a flag is no longer fit for display".

Re: Jeb Bush Jumps into the Race!

I wonder how both Jeb and Hilary both feel about those who are dead set against them just because of their last name. Call me old fashioned but isn't it where a candidate stands on the issues and their style of governing and so on the important things?

Re: Confederate flag

You know what, a thought just occurred to me regarding this issue. Why does the state governments involved need to endorse one viewpoint or another? IOW, why does SC and MS need the Confederate symbol on their flag/grounds? Wouldn't it be better for those who are into the flag (which for the record ...

Re: Would you rather control the White House or Congress?

I figured with the 2016 Presidential election basically out of the first starting gates I thought maybe we could bring this up again.

Re: We may have a lousy President now, but...

Just remember it's still well over a year until Election Day 2012. Don't assume that the ones we're currently hearing about are all we get. After all Sarah Palin came out of nowhere in 2008; who knows if someone may "come out of nowhere" this time around? As for Harding, as lousy as he may...

We may have a lousy President now, but...

But remember that several of our great Presidents were preceded by really, eh, not so great ones: * Lincoln has historically been right alongside Washington as the two greatest Presidents ever. But what most don't realize is that to get to Lincoln the country had to first endure James Buchanan, who ...

Re: Why R's must not get too overconfident following a 2010 win

Well well well, I know it's a bit late but from BO's last SOTU speech, it looks like he is indeed trying to pull a Clinton! BO knows that if he wants to stay in the White House, he must pretend not to be a liberal, just like BC learned that lesson after 1994. And can you believe he's even stealing J...
